Our Heartfelt Story

Hi, I'm Leesa, the owner of Heartfelt Goldendoodles.

Heartfelt began with a very special dog named Maxie. From the moment I welcomed her into my life, I knew I wanted other families to experience the same love, joy, and companionship she brought to mine.

That love for our dogs remains at the heart of everything we do today.

Our puppies are raised inside our home as part of our family. From their earliest days, they receive hands-on care, affection, socialization, and exposure to the everyday sights and sounds of family life.

One of the most rewarding parts of raising our puppies is watching them grow—and then watching them become treasured members of their new families. We love staying connected with our Heartfelt families and seeing those tiny puppies grow into beloved companions.

We take great pride in the dogs that are part of our breeding program. Health and genetic testing are completed on our parent dogs as part of our commitment to making thoughtful breeding decisions and giving our puppies the best possible start.

For us, this isn't simply about raising puppies.

 There are so many reasons we fell in love with Goldendoodles.

By bringing together qualities found in Golden Retrievers and Poodles, Goldendoodles can be affectionate, intelligent, playful, and deeply connected to their families.

Every puppy is an individual, which is one of the things we love most about raising them. As their personalities begin to emerge, we get to know the confident explorers, the playful personalities, the gentle observers, and, of course, the puppies who would happily spend the entire day in someone's lap.

Getting to know each puppy helps us support our families as they prepare to welcome their new companion home.

 Our work begins long before it's time for a puppy to meet their forever family.

From an early age, we incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture principles into our puppy-raising program.

As they grow, puppies are gradually introduced to age-appropriate experiences, different sounds and surfaces, handling, household activity, people, and new environments. We also begin foundations for skills such as crate training and bell training.

Everything is introduced gradually and positively, with the goal of helping our puppies develop confidence as they experience the world around them.

The result isn't a "perfectly trained" eight-week-old puppy—and we would never expect one to be.

Instead, our goal is to send each puppy home with a thoughtful foundation that their new family can continue building upon.

 Choosing the family who will love one of our puppies is something we take seriously.

We want our families to feel comfortable asking questions, learning about our dogs, and getting to know Heartfelt before bringing their puppy home.

And our relationship doesn't have to end on go-home day.

Nothing makes us happier than receiving photos, updates, birthday messages, and stories from our Heartfelt families years later.
